Icebound assumes full ownership of the GPS Timber product

After many years of joint ownership, Icebound now holds 100% ownership of the GPS Timber product. This further strengthens the offering to the forestry industry

GPS Timber was originally developed by Cartesia GIS AB (now Icebound AB) but was later jointly owned with Datapolarna AB for many successful years. Due to structural changes at both companies, Icebound has assumed full responsibility for GPS Timber.

Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge

Since Icebound has been working continuously over the years on sales, product launch, and strategic development, this is not a radical change. We are now expanding and building the team that will manage and develop the product. Icebound stands ready to help our customers remain competitive—now and in the future. GPS Timber and GPS Timber Pulp are global leaders in logistics and production support for sawmills and pulp mills—from incoming raw materials all the way to the production line. Today, there are approximately 40 customers in Sweden and across Europe.

Today, Icebound is a leader in Sweden in business solutions and modern web-based products for the forestry industry. Icebound Forest is a suite of products that supports many of our customers’ processes. Our commitment to supporting the entire forest management and raw material/industrial process remains strong and is now even more evident with GPS Timber.
